AGC One-day Tech Summit 2017: REcAp
For anyone not in the know on this, AGC put together a side "one-day" conference for the techies. AEC Cloud was a proud sponsor of this event.
From what I understand it was a first attempt at putting this together, and I have to say it was a complete success!!
The panel of speakers were boots on the ground personnel with real world experience in helping get their respective construction company into the 21st century technology wise. Really interesting to hear the stories, the challenges and the successes these folks had to share.
Another aspect of the meeting was the way they brought the audience in on the conversations. It ended up being a really great experience learning about novel approaches to the tech issues we all face everyday. Discussions ran the gamit from software integration and data sharing, to drones and BIM, to introducing new software and technologies, how to handle the introduction of personal devices into the office environment, among other things. Extremely informative. The speakers were great at keeping the conversation moving and engaging. Again, I can't say enough about how much value our team took away from this. A definite win!
